me

Hello there,

I'm Justin 👋

I spend most of my time outdoors, working with data, or writing. I’m interested in how environments shape human and non-human behavior, especially through birds, public lands, and environmental policy.

My work centers around field observation and analysis. I’ve conducted independent research on bird populations, worked with citizen-science data, and used photography as a way of paying attention to landscapes and place.

I grew up between Texas and Minnesota, spending a lot of time in national parks and protected landscapes. Those places shaped how I understand public lands, which serve as both ecosystems and shared civic spaces.

I’m continuing this work through field research, photography, and independent projects alongside my studies at Yale.
